30DaysWild - day four

Day 4. 30DaysWild.

Down below the house, the field is beginning to change colour.  The buttercups are flowering, there are lots of daisies, and tiny eyebright, and the earthy yellow of the Yellow rattle too.  On gentle slopes common Twayblade dance in the gentle breeze.

On the way back up the hill, the first Greater butterfly orchid is flowering.  It looks as if it has been nipped in the bud by an orchid eater of some sort!

Due to a cancellation, Duill Cottage is now available from 15th to 22nd June.  I think that has to be my favourite week of the year - the summer solstice!  Please get in touch if you are interested in booking!
