#30DaysWild - Day 13

#30DaysWild - getting in close.

Just within the garden today, as there was not much time for wild walks.

On the farm, the first shearing of our two shearing sessions was done.  It is too early to shear the ewes with lambs - they are shorn in mid to late July.  The tups, eild ewes (those without lambs) and the hoggs (last years ewe lambs) were shorn today.  It is that confusing time of year when the hoggs enter the shed as hoggs with wool on their backs and come out without it as gimmers.

So my wild walk today had to be in the garden, crouching down catching the beauty of the flowers that appear in the grass and in all the wild bits of the garden. This is a tiny Speedwell by the step into the office.

Daisies.

Germander speedwell.

Sorrel beginning to flower.

Cow parsley.

And the last 50 ewes and hoggs to be clipped... patiently waiting.
