Connolly's Well.

Connolly's Well.

Tommy the shepherd who worked on the farm when we first moved here told us the name of this spring.  It is called Connolly's well after a ploughman of the same name, who lived in a nearby cottage (Duill) and took his water from here.

Tommy told us lots of the old Gaelic names for different parts of the hill as well as exciting stories of excisemen, illicit whisky stills, extra strong men and cattle thieves.
